Attestation

I,  André Fetet, Director of the YEHUDI MENUHIN FOUNDATION - LIVE MUSIC NOW INTERNATIONAL hereby certify that Maciej Urbanek has been chosen for two successive years by Pierre Dervaux to be the Leader of  the ³International all-European Youth Orchestra².

This choice has given us complete satisfaction. His ability, personality and numerous personal qualities have impressed all.

He has therefore been chosen once again to lead the orchestra for its concert on 29 May 1990 under the bâton of Sir Yehudi Menuhin at the Champs Elysées Theatre, celebrating the tenth anniversary of the Foundation.

On a personal note, I must mention the great satisfaction I have had in working with Mr Urbanek, whom I consider to be an artist of very fine quality.

To: Mister Cousirou,
Prefect of the Region of Midi-Pyrenees

Dear Sir,

On October 1st 1988, we engaged on a fixed-term contract (until 31/12/88) Mr Maciej Urbanek, a young Polish violinist recommended to us by the Menuhin Foundation.

His ability as a violinist and his adaptation to the life of the orchestra encouraged us to sign a permanent contract with him on 1/1/89 and we are very keen to keep him in the orchestra, as his professional qualities are an important asset for our group.

We are concerned about the administrative difficulties he has had in relation to his residence in France, and would be most grateful for your help in his obtaining the necessary status for his family and himself.

 Yours sincerely,

Musical Director     Administrative Director

MIRAIL

UNIVERSITY

Within the framework of the “Mardissonances” musical cycle by the Mirail Toulouse University Artistic Initiative Center (CIAM), Maciej Urbanek has given in duet with the pianist Ewa Urbanek a concert entitled “Romantic Violin” on the 3-rd April 2002. His technical mastery, great musicality of his play, passion of his instrument have transferred the audience mainly made up of students but also of teachers and the University staff members. The quality of audience listening did justice to all that, what Maciej Urbanek musically and humanely passed on this day. Moreover, Maciej Urbanek knows how to introduce clearly and in educational perspective the works which he interpret; the CIAM is very attached to this aspect of the artistic manifestations he organizes. I received only very favorable responses about this concert.

Mr, Mrs

The creation of the Poetical concert “ LE VIOLON AMOUREUX ” the 21th December 2001 at the St Nicolas Church in TOULOUSE has been a great artistic moment for our organizing association.

Our Administration Council and the whole active members have asked me to transmit their most sincere congratulations to you. For my part, I present you my thanks and all my gratitude for the marvelous emotions you have offered to me that evening.

The harmonious meeting of the language with the chamber music judiciously chosen in the French register has been served by a very high quality interpretation. Your talent, your remarkable virtuosity, your communion as well as the sincerity of your respective performance haven’t failed to affect the audience who, by his ovation, have confirmed that poem and music must get married !

After this successful first, I hope a long life for this unforgettable poetical concert whom, I’m sure, we all have fell in love…
